
In a significant move to bolster their defense, AS Roma Women have signed 20-year-old Nigerian defender Shukurat Damilola Oladipo from Robo Queens FC. Oladipo, who has been a standout player in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), has committed to a contract with the Italian side until June 30, 2027.

Shukurat Oladipo’s journey from Lagos-based Robo Queens to AS Roma marks a pivotal step in her burgeoning career. During her tenure with Robo Queens, she amassed an impressive 178 appearances, showcasing her versatility by playing both in defense and midfield.

Her consistent performances at the club level earned her a spot in Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Falconets, where she contributed to the team’s silver medal at the 2024 African Games in Ghana.
